Tangerang – Ensuring that students from low-income families have the resources to complete their studies has always been our top priority. UMN has developed several programs and initiatives designed to assist students facing financial challenges, enabling them to focus on their academic success without the burden of financial stress. These programs encompass financial support, counseling services, and academic guidance, creating a comprehensive support system for students in need.
One of the key financial relief options is Tuition Deferment, which allows students to postpone their tuition payments. This program is particularly beneficial for students experiencing temporary financial hardship, as it provides flexibility in managing their financial obligations while continuing their studies uninterrupted. Additionally, UMN offers a Financial Hardship Scholarship and Social Economy Scholarship, aimed at students who unexpectedly encounter financial difficulties during their academic journey. This scholarship ensures that those facing sudden financial constraints can receive timely support to avoid disrupting their education.
UMN also provides a general Student Loan program that helps students manage costs such as tuition and living expenses. This initiative ensures that students from disadvantaged backgrounds can access the necessary resources to stay in school.
Beyond financial assistance, UMN understands the importance of mental and academic well-being in ensuring student success. The university provides Mental Health Consultations to help students navigate stress and personal challenges that may arise from financial pressures. Additionally, Academic Advising sessions with dedicated academic mentors offer personalized guidance, helping students stay on track with their coursework and academic goals. Together, these programs form a holistic approach to supporting low-income students, ensuring they have the tools and support to successfully complete their studies at UMN.
