September 13, 2022TANGERANG – Several Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) leaders will officially release 18 UMN students participating in the 2022 Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) student exchange program.
Before leaving for their respective universities abroad. Several UMN leaders, Dr. Ninok Leksono (Rector), Dr. Friska Natalia (Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs), Ir. Andrey Andoko (Vice Chancellor for General Administration and Finance), Ika Yanuarti (Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs), Bobby Arianto (UMN Global Office Manager), and 18 students who took part in the IISMA 2022 program gathered together for a few words of advice at once for an official release before departing to start the IISMA 2022 program.
“With this afternoon’s event, I officially discharge through hope and prayer, and I hope that all of you UMN students can go through this program as well as possible. Do your best, and when you’d return, we can gather again and exchange experiences, sharing what has been gained from 4-6 months living abroad,” Ninok said.
IISMA is a government scholarship program under the Independent Learning Independent Campus (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka/MBKM) program which funds students to study, experience the country’s culture, improve skills, and seek new experiences abroad for one semester (4-6 months) at partner universities. The IISMA program covers registration and tuition fees, an arrival allowance, pocket money, emergency funds, travel expenses, health insurance, quarantine fees, and PCR costs.
Therefore, from this opportunity, UMN, through the Global Office division, faculties, study programs, and the academic community, always tries to encourage and guide its students to develop competencies and promote academic freedom for UMN students.

“Be active as a student. Try registering for an organization or event so that you’ll gain plenty of valuable experience that can be shared. Take care of your health too, bring your medical supplies, keep up the progress, and keep in contact with parents and the global office. So we also know your progress and situation there,” Ika Yanuarti said.
Before closing the event, there were also messages from the awardee’s parents, one of which was Bayu (father of Maria Oktaviana), who also represented all IISMA 2022 awardee parents. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to the children. He hoped that all of them would be able to leave and finish their study for one semester abroad smoothly and be granted health, happiness, and safely return.
