Marojahan Tampubolon lahir di Tapanuli Utara, Sumatera Utara. Beliau lulus dari Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) pada tahun 2009 dan memperoleh gelar Sarjana Teknik Elektro. Kemudian, Dia menyelesaikan gelar Master dan Ph.D. Gelar dari Departemen Teknik Elektronika, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) masing-masing pada tahun 2014 dan 2018. Dari Juli 2018 hingga Oktober 2020, dia bekerja sebagai Principal Engineer di Vanguard International Semiconductor Corp. di Hsinchu, Taiwan. Minat penelitiannya adalah elektronika daya, konverter daya, dan perangkat GaN FET. Dia telah menerbitkan makalah di Jurnal dan konferensi yang berkaitan dengan topik ini. Ia juga seorang reviewer dalam transaksi jurnal bereputasi seperti IEEE Trans. Elektronik Industri dan sirkuit dan sistem bagian II. Sekarang, Dia dengan Jurusan Teknik Elektro Universitas Multimedia Nusantara sebagai Dosen.
