Menamatkan pendidikan s-1 dari program studi teknik mesin dengan specsialisai teknik produksi dari Insititut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) pada tahun 1987. Mendapatkan kesempatan melanjutkan pendidikan program s-2 di department of Mechanical Engineering (Electro-Mechanics, production engineering) pada Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven Belgia. Menyelesaikan pendidikan tersebut pada tahun 1991. Mendapatkan beasiswa dari PT Dirgantara Indonesia, dan setelah menempuh pendidikan s-2 kembali mengabdi pada PT Dirgantara Indonesia.
Pada tahun 1992 mendapatkan kesempatan melanjukan program pendidikan s-3 di Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Leuven Belgia, dengan spesialisasi Electro-Mechanics, dan Computing Science. Menyelesaikan pendidikan di pada Maret tahun 1999.
Melanjutkan bekerja pada PT Dirgantara Indonesia hingga 2002, dan selanjutnya menjadi expatriat di Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia (KUTIM) pada bidang Manufacturing Engineering. Sekarang universitas ini bernama UTeM – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Melacca.
Pada akhir tahun 2005 kembali ke Indonesia dan bekerja pada Swiss German University hingga 2007. Turut membangung jurusan teknik industri (sebagai ketua jurusan) dan banyak berkontribusi pada jurusan mekatronika khususnya.
Pada tahun 2007-2010 menjadi kepada bagian akademik dan non-akademik dalam pengembangan Universitas Bakrie. Pada tahun 2010 kembali ke Swiss German University menjabat sebagai dekan fakultas teknik hingga tahun 2015.
Pada tahun 2015-2022 menjabat sebagai dekan fakultas Teknik dan Informatika dari International University Liaison Indonesia (IULI). Kemudian pada bulan Juli 2022 berganbung bersama UMN sebagai dosen di prodi teknik elektro.
Kepakaran yang diampu antara lain, machine tool controller, manufacturing engineering, robotics-automation, computer programming, distributed systems, dan yang bersinggungan dengan computer science.
Disamping sebagai tenaga pengajar, juga aktif sebagai peer-reviewer dari konferensi internasional seperti ICMME – International Conference in Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering, CommIT ejournal (BINUS), FIFO ejournal (Univ. Mercu Buana), JRSI – Jurnal Rekayasa Sistem Industri (UNPAR), dan lain-lainnya.
