Florentina Kurniasari memperoleh gelar Magister Manajemen Bisnis dari Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Filipina dan gelar Doktor bidang Ekonomi dari Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta. Keahliannya di bidang Keuangan dan Manajemen Strategis. Florentina aktif menulis karya ilmiah berupa buku dan jurnal baik nasional maupun internasional yang terindeks Scopus. Sebagai dosen dengan posisi akademik sebagai Lektor Kepala, Dr. Florentina juga aktif sebagai Reviewer dan Chair-person di berbagai konferensi internasional.
