Tangerang – On Monday (17/02/2025), UMN received a visit from Professor Dr. Cham Tat Huei, a professor at UCSI, Malaysia. This visit is part of UMN’s visiting professor program, a collaboration between UMN and UCSI Malaysia.
Professor Dr. Cham Tat Huei is a business professor from UCSI Malaysia. UMN has collaborated with UCSI Malaysia several times. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Cham Tat Huei will visit UMN for seven days.
“I hope this visit can positively impact and increase knowledge for UMN students and lecturers. I hope that with this visit, there will be more research that can be done together because research is something that we must do,” Cham said.
One important thing for educational institutions to do is conduct research. Cham is very open to UMN doing joint research, which he considers an excellent opportunity.
“It is an honor for UMN to collaborate with Dr. Cham. I believe and hope this collaboration can bring new things, experience, and knowledge to develop our academics,” said Dr. Andrey Andoko, UMN Rector.
In this visiting professor program, Cham will teach in the field of business and research with UMN lecturers. Cham will teach both undergraduate and graduate programs.
“We want to expand our cooperation and strengthen academics, so hopefully, there will be good outputs such as joint research. I hope that the knowledge provided by Professor Cham can be useful in adding insight,” said Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
This visit will later involve UMN students and lecturers and collaborations with the Faculty of Business & Management, not only in research but also in guest lectures at UMN.
“Of course, this collaboration does not only focus on research. Prof. Cham will also be involved in guiding lecturers in conducting research. Another collaboration that will be carried out is the renewal of the curriculum of the UMN Faculty of Business & Management,” said Dr. Florentina Kurniasari T., S.Sos., M.B.A., as Dean of the Faculty of Business & Management.
This program is expected to produce good output in the future so that lecturers and students can produce good research. Professor Cham’s visit is hoped to add research publications to UMN.
