Tangerang – On (21/01/2025), Universitas Multimedia Nusantara warmly welcomed the arrival of Todak Academy Malaysia, followed by the rectors, FTI, FSD, and MDN study programs. The meeting between UMN and Todak Malaysia resulted in various ideas for collaboration that both parties can implement.
Todak Academy is a technology company in Malaysia. In 2020, Todak’s career started in gaming, starting with an esports exhibition and developing into a video game community in Malaysia.
“Of course, I really hope that UMN and Todak can explore many things and build many new things, but of course, the collaboration will be more academically focused,” said Dr. Andrey Andoko, the UMN rector.
Todak sees a large global opportunity for games, so It is here to fulfill the community’s needs in game development, animation, and hardware.
“We envision building the future and connecting industry and education. We are very interested in working with UMN. There are many things that we can collaborate on together so that we can both develop,” said Taufik Rizal, the Chief Executive Officer of Todak Academy.
This discussion presented several opportunities for collaboration with Todak, such as guest lectures for students, exchange of UMN and Todak Academy lecturers and experts for student projects, and international competitions that both countries can carry out.
“Seeing this collaboration opportunity, we hope that UMN and Todak Academy can immediately implement this collaboration, so that students can get a lot of valuable experience from Todak Academy. Considering that Todak Academy also prepares many skills for children, maybe this can be an opportunity for cooperation with Multimedia Nusantara School,” said Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D, the UMN Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
In the future, UMN and Todak Academy will formalize this collaboration with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to implement the partnership immediately.
