Various Companies Open Booths on UMN’s Career Day (Doc. UMN)

Tangerang, May 7, 2024 – Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) once again held “Career Day UMN 2024,” an event that became the main platform for students to explore career opportunities in various leading companies. Taking place at UMN’s Function Hall (FH), the two-day event provides a platform for students and alumni to pursue careers in the world of work and internships.

“Career Day”, organized by UMN’s Career Development Center (CDC), is a routine program that aims to develop the careers of UMN students and alumni. Held twice a year, this event invites participation from various well-known companies.

This time, UMN CDC held another career day event that lasted for two days, starting on May 7 and 8, 2024. A total of 46 company booths were ready for visitors to visit. Among the participating companies are Astra Group, JHL Collection, Dreambox Marketing Consultant, Kompas Gramedia, and many more.

In opening the event, UMN’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA, stated that “Career Day” is UMN’s concrete step in helping students achieve their dream careers in the industrial world. 

“We hope that through this event, UMN students can be of use in the industrial world while companies can find prospective employees that suit their needs,” Ika said. This program is part of UMN’s efforts to improve student welfare.

“Through these activities, UMN has achieved 5 Stars in the QS Stars University Rating System assessment,” she added.

The event is free and open to students, alumni, and the general public. Various companies opened job and internship vacancies, and visitors could apply directly by sending their Curriculum Vitae (CV). Several companies also organized walk-in interviews.

In addition to the company booths, “Career Day” visitors were also entertained in the UMN Canteen in building C. Some visitors had the opportunity to get vouchers that could be exchanged for free gifts from the companies that attended.
