Cahya Daulay started his career in the creative industry after graduating from the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) ITB and initiating as a 2D Lead Artist to becoming an IP Division Head at Matahari Studios, one of the earlier game developer studios in Indonesia. It then continued to join Infinite Frameworks Studios, an animation studio in Batam. He is also active in creative industry communities and associations in Indonesia.
As an Interior Design graduate and Master of Design from FSRD-ITB, Cahya is interested in Indonesia’s creative industry, especially in digital technology that elevates aspects of Indonesian culture. This aspect can be seen strongly in his visual work in concepts, illustration, comics, and animation. Before joining UMN, he and his colleagues founded Digiworks, a start-up company that uses game-engine to focus on digital animation.
With more than a dozen years of experience in the creative fields of games and animation, he joined UMN, focusing on developing the creative and innovative knowledge of the younger generation about the comprehensive creative industries as a lecturer in the Film Study Program and carrying out his duties as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design.
